About Me

Hi! My name is Marianne and I live in Whitehorse, Yukon. This place is just beautiful, and I want to keep it that way. We’re seeing the effects of climate change up here, maybe you are too where you are. Let’s live well as gently on the Earth as we can.

I’ve been knitting recreationally for decades, but when I had kids I found I wan’t knitting as much. I missed the wool and the crafting until I was gifted three big bags of wool roving. I didn’t know how to spin yarn, so I hit the internet to find out what else I could do with it. I figured out I could try my hand at felting and I was hooked. After years of testing wool, giving dryer balls as gifts and working out my own formula I’ve come up with a dryer ball I’m proud of.

I’ve got a husband and three little kids and that means our household does lots of laundry. I want to be part of the solution, and reducing waste and saving energy (and money!) are important to me. When I’m not line drying, I’m using Mighty Wool dryer balls.

It’s not glamorous but laundry happens. A LOT! So let’s make simple changes that are easy, natural and long lasting. Just like I keep the change when I break a bill, I save energy where I can and feel good doing what I can, when I can. We’re in it together.
